I think putting in maximums would do the trick. 4/6/8 for 4th, 5th, and 6th or something. No need to raise the cap, though. But I'm sure most of those bargains in FA developed because of nobody having money to spend.

I think we should have random arb Groupons where people can purchase 30% off salaries along with a free dessert.

I'm not sure how best to proceed with this - voting for each/any individual category change is going to be cumbersome and probably frustrating.
Therefore I propose that (unless there is widespread objection) Turb, Bigfly and I take responsibility for coming up with a complete arb scale revision. This can then be put out to discussion, and any objections or issues can be raised at that time. Any amendments to the proposed revision gaining support (3 or more) can be voted upon individually. When there are no more amendments to the proposal gaining traction then we can have a full vote on whether to retain the existing arb scales or adopt the new ones.
I would suggest that the whole process should be completed by the end of July.
Please state no later than Fri 22nd May if you object to arb scale changes continuing in this way - and suggest how you think we should instead manage it.

Sounds good. My only objection will be if there are no objections.

So since there was no objections are we still on schedule to see the process completed around the end of July?

Good timing! I actually kicked this off yesterday with some analysis of the past three years to provide a baseline going forward.
Next week I will start investigating Turb's suggestion to allocate arb salary using top 5/10/20/40 performances in each category (easier for some than others) to see how that works out. At this time I certainly see us being on track to meet the end of July deadline.

Update:
I have put together a proposal and communicated it with the other Admins. Turb has taken an action to do some more analysis into the RP market and scale.

It looks like we have two different proposals to present to you for discussion. I will post one now, and another will follow shortly.
