Mine is Changes. I know it's super pop, and by far the most popular song in his catelog, but I think Changes set the world on it's head. It was like '67. Beatles were still making GREAT music.

Probably heroes but life on Mars is a close second My wife is yelling at me, 'f*ckING, ROCK AND ROLL SUICIDE!' 'The whole f*cking ziggy stardust album is better than almost any other song he has ever made!' My wife is Bowie fangirl though. Lol.

Bowie was more about albums than songs. It's like asking what your favorite Radiohead song is. Rise and Fall is pretty great, but I tend to lean towards any album that he couldn't remember making...

I don't get Radiohead either. David Bowie was a recording artist from 1969 until his death this year. He changed music forever with his 'concept album' style and androgynous persona, Ziggy Stardust. Radiohead started as a mid-90's rock band but evolved into the godfathers of electronic rock, forever shaping every artist now known as 'Indie'. Their lead singer, Thom Yorke, is famous for his quirky dancing and lazy eye. You should Wiki each, interesting folks.

I know that you're messing about, but my point stands.
I know who David Bowie is and I'm familiar with his work. Similarly, I know who Radiohead are and familiar with their work. In both cases I simply don't understand the fuss.

I LOVE THE FUSS.
But I can definitely see not liking em. I wasn't really into Radiohead or Bowie until my post-uni music breakthrough. If you don't mind me asking, who are you into?

I would have to agree with you, not that I don't respect them both and appreciate the musical diversity they created, but I don't entirely get the fuss either.

A real mishmash. Basically if it's got a guitar and you can hear the words and it's not depressing, I'm in.
I've never really grown out of my teenage phase, so I still love Guns n Roses and all that sort of stadium rock. Melodic guitars, big solos - I love it. At the moment I can't get enough Steel Panther. I'm going to see 'Thunder' at Wembley Arena on Saturday night. Prince is the best Superbowl halftime show I've seen (although I'm not a massive Prince guy - that was just one heck of a performance). I also have a bit of a jazzy thing going on, starting with Jamiroquai when I was a kid and more recently been listening to stuff like Gogo Penguin and Cinematic Orchestra. If it's got a bassline or a groove then I can forgive pretty much anything. And the Beatles were the greatest bad that ever lived. Side Two of Abbey Road is about as close to perfection as it gets.

Oh, but the best gig I've ever seen live was possibly Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z. I'm not really a fan, but my word does Timberlake put on a show. The kid does it all.
