Why not create a minimum ABs threshold similar to the minimum IP threshold?
On average a starter gets 3.125 ABs per game. With 14 offensive category starters in our league that is roughly 43.75 ABs a night.
A threshold of 1250 ABs can easily be reached in 28.5 game days by a full slate of starters or just over a month, so that we account for days off.
So a threshold of 2500 ABs for an entire season should be no problem. I'm over that threshold now as are probably most of you.
However I think putting that number in the rules allows for there to be more consistency.
Thoughts?

We are working on it, thanks for the input jp. To be honest I thought we already had an AB minimum.

Rule 3.10
To qualify for the ERA and WHIP standings, each team must compile a minimum of 1000 innings pitched. There is no hitting minimum to qualify for the batting average standings.

Sorry I was posting that as a reference to where I saw that there seems to not be a minimum BA qualification currently in the rules. However due to the fact I have tried, and been unsuccessful in memorizing the rulebook, I may have missed another rule overruling this rule and thus causing this whole topic to be rather moot.
