Indians deal: SP Jose Quintana, CHW, 5th, 1.0 Rangers deal: 2B Alen Hanson, PIT, 1st, 0.3 www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa547735&position=2B/SS3B Eric Jagielo, NYY, 1st, 0.3 www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa550383&position=3BSS Yeyson Yrizarri, TEX, 1st, 0.3 www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa828293&position=SSSP Ariel Jurado, TEX, 1st, 0.3 www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa737364&position=PCardinals cap: -0.2 Indians cap: +0.2 I just picked up Q, and thought I'd ship him to the Cards for a mix of prospects. Hanson's at the center for me, as my 2B vein is running a little dry through the farm. He's speedy and should get his shot next year. Jag, Yrizarri, and Jurado are all solid specs in the C+/B- range with varying degrees of upside and proximity to the majors (I'm particularly a fan of Jurado). Good deal, easy talks, Rangers. EDIT: Weird, he's listed as a 5th on my roster and was on my trade block...I don't know how that happened. Sorry I didn't catch that, Rangers.

Accept. Hanson is the hard one to give up, a solid "B" level prospect that should provide SB at 2B. Jurado might be the X-factor; I admit I don't know much about him, but he's got some great numbers at a young age. Quintana is always underrated. He's consistently productive (last 3 years, IP between 200-206, ERAs between 3.32 and 3.51, WHIPs between 1.22 and 1.27), he has 3 years control, and he's presently cheap. I'm happy to have him. Thanks ATL.
Edit...ouch, missed the 4th/5th thing even though I was staring at his numbers. Bummer.

Rangers, I assume you're still interested in this deal now you know Q is a 5th?

Sorry, yes. As a 5th he still fits my 2017 build plan, and of course I'd have 20% rights on him too. Or I could flip h to a contender at some point. It was at least partially my own fault for not catching, even at I stared at his b-ref page and saw his 4 years of stats.
