Indians trade:
LHP/1B Brendan McKay, 1st, 0.3 (Rays) www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa829698&position=PB
RHP Kolby Allard, 1st, 0.3 (Braves) www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa874245&position=P
SS Willi Castro, 1st, 0.3 (Indians) www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa830274&position=SS
RHP Tanner Houck, 1st, 0.3 (Red Sox) www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa829037&position=P
OF Khalil Lee, 1st, 0.3 (Royals) www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa917996&position=OF
RHP Zack Burdi, 1st, 0.3 (White Sox) www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa856551&position=P
1B/2B/SS - Sean Rodriguez, 2018+, 0.6
SP - Robbie Erlin, 6th, 1.0
RP - Jake Barrett, 3rd, 1.0
Orioles trade:
SP Robbie Ray, 4th, 3.0 (Diamondbacks)
SS Addison Russell, 4th, 1.0 (Cubs)
Indians cap: -0.4
Orioles cap: +0.4
I've got high hopes for these arms I'm trading, but the depth I have on the farm allows me to move them fairly painlessly. Moving a top-25 spec like McKay is tough, but I think Robbie Ray is poised for a step forward next year. 200K is going to really help the staff this year. Addison is a guy I targeted because Dansby just hasn't lived up to the hype thus far. Addison's got the chops to improve, he's still young, and is on a great team. I look for him to take that step forward all have been waiting for in 2018.
All in all, this helps my team in depth and upside and leaves me with plenty of specs to trade when needs arise throughout the year.
Thanks, Bert. Good talks.
