Brewers +0.9 Rangers +0.6
The rare trade that increases both cap numbers. For me, the trade accomplishes my goal of adding "win-now" type pieces at affordable costs. I believe strongly in Estrada this year, and Lucroy is an upgrade in my starting lineup at catcher, allowing me to go Molina/Lucroy in my lineup and have Pierzynski on the bench for insurance. In exchange, I give up a gaggle of interesting prospects, but (in my opinion of course) I hold onto the top 3 or 4 prospects that I have. Gonzalez and Cooney in particular are difficult to give up, but you gotta give to get. O'Flaherty and Capuano are expiring deals that balance salaries a bit, since all 5 prospects coming from me were unprotected.

I do this trade to acquire some good upside prospects. I trust that coming from the Rangers and Cardinals real life farm system that they are being trained correctly and should all have a promising future. Thanks Rangers for an easy trade.
