Anybody have any thoughts on the movie/trailer/concept?
Being Indian, and being a baseball fan, this looks terrible to me.

Well with this and Draft Day, it seems Hollywood is chasing the success of Moneyball. It certainly is a fascinating story, but not sure it will work as a movie. One of the guys did have some decent numbers in relief at A ball in 2012, but was out all last year with arm issues: www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=singh-001rin

Yeah, Draft Day looks horrible as well. Draft Day looks stupid, but Million Dollar Arm just makes me cringe over and over...
It's a great story, but the portrayal seems to have dumbed it down a million times over, and then added a random love interest alongwith.
"It's like telling the story of Jackie Robinson with Branch Rickey as the main character." - Some guy on IMDB
There's also that elevator scene! You'd think the kids would've at least seen an elevator at the airport while leaving India, if not at the TV contest. And the kids were medal winning Javelin throwers so you'd think they would've been exposed to at least more of western culture than is suggested...
