Giants trade:
Nelson Cruz- LF/RF, 2014, 4.1
Lonnie Chisenhall- 1B/3B , 4th, 1.0
Steve Pearce- 1B/LF, 2015, 0.6
Johnny Cueto- SP, 2014+, 4.2
Scott Kazmir- SP, 2015, 1.5
Ian Kennedy- SP, 2014+, 2.5
total cap $13.9
Indians trade:
Kyle Zimmer- SP, 1st, 0.3 (Royals) (www.baseball-reference.com/minors/player.cgi?id=zimmer000kyl)
Michael Wacha- SP, 2nd, 0.5
Anibal Sanchez- SP, 2014, 4.4
Shin Soo Choo- LF/CF, 2015, 7.7
Brett Lawrie- 2B/3B, 4th, 1.0
total cap $13.9
i am basically trading a year each of cueto, kazmir and kennedy for a year of choo, 4 years of wacha and 6 yrs of zimmer.
obviously the 3 pitchers have all been very productive for me this year, but i doubt whether any of them will repeat the same level of success next year and kazmir has no history of staying healthy
choo is somewhat overpriced but it's only for one year and he (along with most of the rangers lineup) is a good bounceback candidate next year. also the move to OBP will boost his value a bit.
wacha and zimmer are both injured currently but wacha has ace upside and zimmer is an excellent prospect who could be in the royals rotation as early as the start of next season. hopefully these 2 will be able to help anchor my rotation for a few years along with gausman
i need some help in MI so basically swapping out chisenhall for lawrie. Although he's been injured he has a longer history of MLB production than chisenhall who's "hot streaK" seemed to last all of about 5 games back in May!
thanks for the trade discussions Atlanta, it was enjoyable going back and forth on a trade of this size
