Looks like we're quickly coming to a close.
I looked through the Trade Rules thread and couldn't find when trading can commence once the Fantasy season is over.
Can we start trading after game 162 (or 163) or should we wait until after the WS or should we wait until another Trade Council is voted in?

I think we'll need to wait upon another trade council being voted in.
I guess the offseason timetable will be something along the lines of: All teams update rosters TTC nominations/voting Trading reopens Free agency Amateur draft
I have no idea what dates we'll be aiming for with any of these, except the hope that all teams will update their rosters for the new season in a timely fashion.

All,
Congrats to all on a fine season.
Please update your rosters with your 2015 positional eligibility and salaries as soon as possible. Ideally I'd like to have all the rosters updated by Friday 10th October so that we can proceed with the offseason. Please let me know if you do not think that you will be able to update your roster by this time.
I'll also be doing some housekeeping over the following days/weeks to reflect and record the achievements from this season.

Excellent season everyone, congrats to all the winners. In particular the D-backs going from 14th to 2nd in one season, should give encouragement to everyone for next year regardless of where you finished. On a personal note, this was my first ever season of this type of league and I have really enjoyed it. Certainly didn't expect to win anything this season at the outset so that was an added bonus!

Good year everyone. Really looking forward to the new changes and having a more active and competitive league next season. Congrats to all of you that did well this year!(not me lol) Please be diligent in your rosters double and triple check that you have all the right years and computations done, it really takes a lot less effort to verify rosters when they are correct! Thanks!

Great season guys. Congrats to, Eric. He put together a great team. I think his mark of 156 points will stand for a long time. That averages 3rd place across the board, very impressive. Appreciate the compliment on nearly going worst to 1st, Mark. I did spend a lot in FA but I also made 15+ trades. As well as claimed a few key players off of waivers. So, I did my best to stay active and keep improving my team. I am a little disappointed because I traded away a ton of young talent and still fell short. Wasn't even close, actually. I still feel I have a decent chance to compete in 2015. As long as Crush has a bounce back season .

To my eye it looks like we're only two teams away from having 2015 rosters updated across the board. Padres and Sock Dodgers still have a few days before the deadline so hopefully we'll be able to tie everything up by the end of the week. I'd like to thank everyone for their efforts and for being so prompt.
I was wondering if there was any appetite to arrange a sort of 'buddy' system, whereupon owners are given a different team's roster to double check the arb years and arb salaries? If you are interested post in this thread before the end of Friday (10th) and I'll sort something out.

The Pirates still need to calculate Arb salaries, as well.
I think we did the buddy system last year, too. We at least talked about it. It's a great way to double check rosters. I believe we should make it standard procedure.
That way rosters should be 100% accurate heading into the start of trades/FA.

I like the buddy system, but I still think we need to break it up between the TTC to look at all the rosters. Buddy system could be to get it 98% right and then TTC to hopefully 100%.

That seems like overkill. If the TTC is going to look at all the rosters, the buddy system feels unnecessary, unless you think it takes 3 people to do basic math. I would say one or the other there.

From the responses here and the PMs I've received it looks like we have widespread agreement that a one-off pre-offseason (!) buddy-system roster check would be beneficial. We've started getting ready for the offseason so early that I think we have time to organise something - even for those busier owners. I'll arrange something once all of the 2015 rosters have been completed.
As for TTC doing a triple-check, I'll confer with TTC membership separately.

I don't think it's overkill, it's also to prevent any sort of potential collusion. If we have a couple people say hey overlook this for me and I'll overlook this for you, and the rosters are never checked by anyone else, we have a major problem. And since you're not on the TTC I'm not sure why you have an objection. It's may be basic math, but it involves a lot of numbers and it can be easy to overlook things.

I think my point was more if the TTC was going to check out every roster, it seems like we may not need the buddy system. I trust the TTC to handle it, and there's really no collusion potential there.
