Following extensive discussion on this thread:

a question regarding rights to prospects traded in real life has emerged. The question is - When do rights to a prospect change when he is traded in real life?
The three answers for vote are as follows:
a) He must finish the day with his original team
This option means that if a player is protected by a team at noon, and he is traded away later that same day (say 6pm) then rights to that player have not been established and he is now the property of the team to which he has been traded.
This option will stop teams from protecting an unprotected prospect who is rumoured to be part of a trade, with the rumour coming true later that same day.
b) On the first official report of his trade
This option means that the first report of a player's trade is the point at which rights transfer. If a player is traded at 8.01pm then at any point before he can be protected by the team that originally owned him, and at any time after his rights belong to the team to which he was traded.
c) 10 minutes after the first official report of his trade
This option provides a window for the team who is trading the unprotected prospect in real life. This means that if they see the reported trade then they have a small opportunity to protect them.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask them, or this has not been explained clearly please say and I will try again.
Poll closes at noon ET Friday 19th December.
To be accepted into the constitution an option must receive at least half of the league votes (8 votes).
If no option receives 8 votes then a second round will be held, with the option receiving the least votes being eliminated.
