All,
I know it's early in the season, but with 12.8% of the season in the books I wanted to keep these fresh in mind:
3.11 Hitting and Pitching Minimums Each team must compile a minimum of 1200 innings pitched and 6000 plate appearances (at bats + walks).
3.13 Final Standings Point Minimum To ensure a minimum standard of competitiveness across the league, each team must compile a minimum of 50 points in the final standings.
6.5 Failing to Achieve the Minimum IP and/or AB/PA Requirements Any team failing to achieve a minimum limit will have their salary cap for the following year lowered by $5.0m per minimum failed.
6.6 Failing to Achieve the Final Standings Point Minimum The ownership of any team finishing a season with under 50 points will be reviewed, and at the discretion of the three admins (with a unanimous decision required) the owner may be asked to leave. Any owner overseeing two sub-50 point finishes will be automatically asked to leave the league.
Doing some rough sums, the following teams seem to be on course for totals below the minimums (with projections in brackets):
Hitting Seattle Marlins (4898)
Pitching Kansas City Blue Jays (1031.1) Houston Mets (1148.1) Philadelphia Twins (1153.2)
Final Standings Seattle Marlins (21.5)
Please note: this is not intended as a criticism or request for any change - for example I have looked only at numbers and taken no notice of circumstance - it is merely for informational purposes.

I can basically start Shark, Ventura, and Duffy right now. And that doesn't include Shark and Ventura each missing a start.

As I said, it was not intended as a criticism or anything negative - it's just for informational purposes. We're plenty early in the season for these number to be an anomaly - I just wanted to make sure that these new rules were at the forefront of our minds and that nobody is going to get a nasty surprise towards the end of the season.

I can't even field a full lineup. Maybe trading my players away for prospects wasn't the best idea? lol. I MAY just have to take a salary cap hit next year. :-\

All,
With 55.3% of the season in the books I wanted to provide a quick update on these:
Hitting (none)
Pitching Kansas City Blue Jays (1047.2) Washington Brewers (1183.0)
Final Standings Kansas City Blue Jays (37.5)
Please note: this is not intended as a criticism or request for any change - for example I have looked only at numbers and taken no notice of circumstance - it is merely for informational purposes.
