Pretty large haul for Goldy, but it's Goldy. He'll be 29 next year and I'll have him for around 12-14...he'll be my only large contract once I move Cutch. He's a top-5 fantasy guy, 6-category stud. I doubt very seriously that any of these guys will outplay any of the specs I have around them, and there is an extremely slim chance any of these fellas will be a first-round talent ever. I'm justifying buying a 6th cause there're like three guys I'd buy at a 5th or 6th right now--Goldy's one of them.
Barreto's solid, but I have 5? SS specs as good or better, Fulmer and Danish are good arms but I have lots of those, Wall's a crapshoot that I'd bet on...the hardest one to lose is probably Bauers. I think he's a top-50 spec come next year. All in all, guys who are good but just won't ever be Goldy (maybe). I've never owned him in any league but now I do.
Thanks, Dbacks. I usually don't explain so thoroughly, but I'm stoked to have me a Goldschmidt.
