Unless my memory is failing I don't believe we have any rule votes upcoming. If I'm wrong please post here before the end of the week, otherwise there will be no rule votes this offseason.

Not technically a rule change, but are we going to consider different websites to host the league play?
As much as I enjoy juggling my roster daily through ESPN, it would be nice to have a full roster available to just set the lineup on.

Having to juggle rosters is a pain, but to my mind ESPN is still far and away the most pleasurable user experience.
In my opinion Yahoo is a mess, and CBS is a joke. Fantrax is probably the only real alternative, but I struggle with the mobile app and it's just not quite as nice to use as ESPN.
What does everyone else think?

i haven't used fantrax but ESPN is by far the best overall site of the ones i've used. I'd be willing to look at moving to fantrax or somewhere else that allowed big rosters, as long as we were sure that the "user experience" wouldn't suffer in other ways (eg if the mobile app is crap, as stephen suggests)

I know at least 2 other people here play in a league that uses Fantrax - what are your thoughts on their site and mobile capabilities?

Looks like Yahoo tops off at 30 rostered players, so that's out. Has anyone tried MLB.com's system?

Last time I played on MLB.com it was a very basic setup (points only, small rosters, pitching staffs instead of individual pitchers), but that was probably 4 or 5 years ago.

Fantrax is by no means flashy. Pretty basic layout and use. But I think they really set theirselves apart by having so many options for how your league is set up. The mobile app is kinda limited in its use. You can do your basic stuff like add and drop or set rosters. The one drawback that I have is if you want any news on your players you better make sure you have another source beside the fantrax website.

i have only used it for NFL (for which it is decent). I don't think fleaflicker has an app though? which would be a major drawback imo

Fleaflicker a mobile web client is good enough in my experience that you don't need an app but then I don't really use apps for anything if I can avoid it

I don't know how to proceed with this. ESPN's roster limit is a bit of a nuisance, but for me personally it's certainly not a deal-breaker and it's still head and shoulders above the alternatives in terms of usability.
Perhaps a serious of votes starting with all available providers, removing the lowest vote-receiving option and having new votes until one provider receives more than 50% of the vote?
