This proposal was discussed in this thread: fantasybaseball.boards.net/thread/1118/free-agent-findsIf a) then this wording (or very similar) will be added to the rules: 5.10.2 'Finders Fee' Discounts When in-season free agency is open any unowned player eligible to be a free agent should be identified to one of the admins so that the player can be added to the in-season free agent auction list. The auction will be open for bidding immediately once they are added. If the player was not rostered by any team at the end of the previous season a 30% 'finders fee' discount will be granted to the team who identified the unowned player if they place a bid in the auction less than 48 hours after the player is added to the in-season free agent group. If b) then there will be no change to the current rules and unowned free agents added to in-season free agency will have no discount attached to them. The deadline for this vote is noon ET on Friday March 18th. For a change from the existing rule to the newly proposed rule a minimum of 8 votes will be required for option a).

With 7 votes received for option 'a' (against 6 votes received for option 'b') there will be no change to the rules to implement a 'finders fee'.
