Do you know what would be awesome (but also probably suck too)?
If the final standings in the redraft league determined the amateur draft order. Or people could choose their draft position (since we are moving to snake draft), with the person winning the redraft league picking their slot first, and the second place picking their slot second, and so on.
Probably a super daft idea, but it just popped into my head.

Since I won't be in the redraft league do I just get to pick first?

I'd play in a redraft.

Is this going to happen? Would be good to do the draft before mid-march ish as I am away (in America!) at the end of March and start of April

This may have already been mentioned and I have just missed it but could this be an auction draft as I'd love to do one for a change?

Looks like we have 10 who are interested? Can everybody confirm before it gets set up?
I don't have a ton of experience with the auction draft, but it could be some fun if enough are interested. I'm fine with weekly lineups though, and h2h sounds like a lot of fun.
Now do you guys want a Roto set up, or points?

I'm in. I do have another draft on 4/4 at 1pm, though. Also, an aution draft would likely take a few hours, so it would have to be a Sun/Mon for me.

Confirm. Love the auction idea - I've never done one but am eager to try. Would prefer roto personally, but would settle for points if it were the consensus. I just think roto adds more variables to encourage strategy and trading.
I've had another league use 'doodle' to canvas draft time availability - that might help hammer down a time. Perhaps a Sunday would be best, with three of us at GMT and the rest at ET-PT? If it's scheduled for a US evening then there might be three very sleepy guys at work the next day...

Thanks for the link, super helpful. So we need to choose between the following?
Head-to-Head: Each Category: H2H Each Category is the most common type of head-to-head play in fantasy baseball. It allows you to select "X" number of statistic categories. For each scoring period, team totals are accumulated and a win, loss or tie is credited in each category based on the matchup results (i.e. 6-3-1 in a 10 category league). If selected, your league will have team schedules/playoffs and you will have the option to set up divisions.
NOTE: If the league creator sets Home Team wins as a tiebreaker, the home team will win every tied category.
Head-to-Head: Most Categories: H2H Most Categories allows you to set "X" number of statistic categories. For each scoring period (usually Monday through Sunday) team totals are accumulated in each of the categories. At the end the scoring period the winner is determined by which team wins the most number of categories. The end result is a win (1-0-0), loss (0-1-0) or tie (0-0-1). These results correspond directly to each team's overall record. If selected, your league will have team schedules/playoffs and you will have the option to set up divisions.

I'd go with head to head, each category. And if we can pull of an auction, all the better.

Yeah auction would be great!
I vote for H2H each categories so that we can get the roto format over the points format. Should give some good rivalry during the season as well with teams facing each other

I agree, i think H2H each category would be best. H2H leagues require an even number of teams so we'll be ok as long as we have 10,12 or 14 We would have to agree on how many teams make the playoffs etc too I have never done a baseball auction draft before but I assume it'll take ages bearing in mind that NFL auction drafts take a good few hours, a they have way less roster spots. therefore, any thoughts on lineup/roster sizes? an auction for 300+ players would take a very long time!
