Really sorry but isn't this vote redundant? I mean I thought the point of the other vote was basically saying, "Hey we need to change our arb scaling...."

Really sorry but isn't this vote redundant? I mean I thought the point of the other vote was basically saying, "Hey we need to change our arb scaling...." The point of the other vote was to find a preferred alternative proposal to the existing scale, and then have a secondary vote to see if there was enough support for that proposal to overhaul the existing scale. Hence this line: **The winner of this vote will be put to a further vote against the existing arb salary calculation method (found in rules 2.6.1 and 2.6.2) to determine what we will use from 2016 onwards. And this one: The option receiving the most votes will be put to a further vote against the existing arb salary calculation method (found in rules 2.6.1 and 2.6.2) to determine what we will use from 2016 onwards.

Can we have a vote after this vote to decide on the redundancy of this redundant vote?

Can we have a vote after this vote to decide on the redundancy of this redundant vote? I know you're only messing about, but I think it is important to have a clear process when it comes to changing the rules. Whilst I feel that there has been general agreement that the current arb scale isn't quite right, we do need an official vote to overturn it. With two options to choose from, we needed a vote before that to decide which would challenge the existing format.
